Shocked that Hank and his sparkling 2.25/.927 playoff performance indicates a decline in value. He had a rough patch and bounced back to regain his form. Surely one off the NHL's most consistent elite goalies (career: 2.32 /.920) deserves a GHL rating which reflects this consistency.

Unfortunatley his regular season was somewhat pedestrian and as it stands cards are regular season games only.

In the GHL we pay for performance not effort or consistency. 😀 what have you done for me lately hank?

I'm shocked that Andrew Hammond is a 66-70. 4.08/.837 in 6 NHL games and 3.24/.884 in 5 AHL games.

That is worth looking into. I am guessing it was because he played so few games, the average was factored into the card. Seeing as he had one good year, this may need to be reviewed.

I don't think it needs to be reviewed, Glenn. His fortitude and stamina will offset the good stats.

If he was indeed injured then there would be a reduced value of the card once fort and Stan are added . My thought was that may be we should only afford this averaging to guys that have had 2 or 3 years worth of cards. I mean a 1 year average ain't much of an average in fact it isn't an average at all. That's what I was getting at

He had rough patches, absolutely, however, his GAA fluctuated by just .26 ---a quarter of one goal per game, over eight games less than the year before. I concur a dip in card value is warranted; I guess I am just wondering how much of a drop-off that .26 actually represents.

Goalies are averaged
Skaters are not
Yes?

No. Skaters and goalies both will use an average score of their previous years if the player only played a hand full of games.

Any chance we can get players without cards showing up somewhere? I know for me I have at least two guys counting against my cap like Medvedev and Hodgson. I still need to look at the drop without penalty rules to remember what I was going to do with them I think it would help me evaluate my cap. Although if them not being show is already included in the cap I may be a little behind the eight ball regardless.

I don't think it's as simple as just looking at GAA, the stats that create GAA might influence the goalie card more than that stat itself. 2016: 156 goals on 1944 shots 2017: 148 goals on 1650 shots Not to mention less games, less wins, less shutouts, lower save %. Personally I think it's a slippery slope: averaging card & playoff stats.

There will be a players under contract without card section.

I have added the missing players (both on pro contracts and minor league contracts) to the teams page. Please review your teams to make sure they look accurate and start thinking about the players you are going to protect from the expansion draft.
Remember, if a player has an EE behind his name he is exempt from the draft and you don't need to protect him. Also, players that are UFAs dont need to be protected either because we will all be bidding on these guys as part of UFA in a few weeks. The rest of the guys need to be protected. Joe had reached out to me to see if one of his guys should have an EE and doesn't. I will review this can adjust that, and any other cases that are uncovered as part of the investigation as well.
As a reminder, teams can protect either 7 forwards, 3 defensemen and 1 goalie or 8 skaters and 1 goalie.
Please keep this in mind when identifying your players. Players who have both D and F position designations can be protected as either a F or D.
