And plot hole #6 has yet to be identified. What is this “Special League Addition?”
Also when can I stop dreaming about the draft, I’m not kidding, literally had a nightmare about drafting someone ive never actually heard of at 11 by mistake and then missing my next two picks while Cornwall got to jump the Queue and stole all my favorite prospects. It was legitimately scaring until I realized that this was Phil we’re talking about, but still...scary stuff.

#6 is getting closer to completion. I am pretty stoked about it and hope you guys will enjoy it as well.
Regarding the draft, I was working on that some today. I am proposing an official draft start of 7/21 with the early kickoff window starting in about a week. I will post such on the draft thread for a day or two to make sure there is no major heartburn with it. I think that should work well.

Yes, definitely ready for the draft but not ready to commit to any trades that may affect the draft because of my above post

My current Man-crush girlfriend mock draft:
1.Leg Ranger Jon from somewhere on the West Coast.
2.Third 'Scott' named owner here, Jersey (great swamp).
3. One of the Holland Triplets

Getting the schedule loaded was necessary to test a few of the upcoming engine changes. Believe me, we will be expanding the old timers league from 6 to 12 this summer guar-an-teed.

An orange bridge icon has been added to the RFA section of the team roster section to denote players that are coming off of the first part of their bridged contracts (and therefore will have limited years of availability (4) and contract savings (10%) as opposed to un-bridged RFAs.

Question, I should probably know the answer already but I'm a little confused. If an RFA I does not receive a bid, does the owning team get 10% savings on his asking price or 25%? I had for some reason thought they still got the 25% in past practice but the rule book states differently I believe.

I had for some reason thought they still got the 25% in past practice but the rule book states differently I believe. This is exactly the reason I think we need to revisit the rule. If I remember correctly the rule book states 75% of bid or asking price (whichever is higher). I think the last few years we were just going with the 75% of asking price and that is why some of our guys (my guys included) are making mess than they probably should.

Plot hole #6...exactly what the heck does this mean/refer to?

Well, if they didn't receive a bid, then it would end up being 75% of asking price.

Tier I (Drafted Players ELC) ** Can be matched by owning team if cap permits by paying the player 75% of highest offer or the players asking price whichever is higher **
This is directly from the rule book. If we go by this, we get no discount if a player is not bid on, this indicates we would have to pay them their full asking price...

I think we've actually been doing this properly even if we messed it up. A player coming off his first contact should get the extra savings. If they are higher caliber players, they'll get a raise by their owning team to bring them to term or they'll get paid when they become UFA's. No matter how it's done, I see issues. Higher caliber players might make a little less than they are worth but lower and mid level caliber players might make a little more than they are worth.
William Karlsson (97-60-90) is asking 8.2 mil. With no bid, with no discount, he would rake in 7.175 mil. AAV at 6 years. With no bid, with a 25% discount, he would make 5.38125 mil. AAV at 6 years.
Vladimir Tarasenko 2016 (98-45-87) was asking 7.4 mil. With no bid, with no discount, he would have an AAV of 6.475 mil.
These prices seem fair in real life. However, when you take into account that our budget cap sits barely above the NHL cap and takes into account 22 more players than the NHL teams pay with their cap, it's just not possible for us to pay real life prices, as I've pointed out in the past. If we only paid our pro roster with our cap, then these prices make sense but we can't pay multiple players 7 million as they do in the NHL.
