Calm down, folks. I just got back. This pick won't take long.

No we have a little forward momentum. I know Bob is in Vegas and 3 hours behind us so I will text him in a few hours if his pick hasn't been made.

its unfortunate that the "Hockey News" player portion has been down for about a month now. It's nice when we can follow the link on the draft page to see what THN says about them.

sportsforecaster.com
This is the exact format of the hockey news. I'm not sure if this is a changeover, revamped hockey news but I know on the old cards, the links were all 'forecaster' so it's probably never coming back to the hockey news site

I've been missing the hockey news site I guess I should have looked a little harder. It even has the depth charts. Thanks Scott!

Boys,
Just a reminder, I wanted to make sure that during this open window if there is a trade of a current or imminent pick, please do not make a pick for the other owner but instead wait for me to pull the trigger on the deal.
If/when we get into the normal 10 minute windows for picks, (starting 7/22), then please by all means make the selection for the team trading to you.
To make sure we can move the early window along as quickly as possible, I am providing my cell number here for you to text to alert me to a trade that is holding things up. I should be able to get to these issues fairly quickly but I will be out from 6:00 to 10:30 or so EST tonight.
seven+one+seven -*- six-six-nine -*- seven+six-four+nine
Thanks, -Commish

Was taking a look and realized that in the previous 6 drafts in which I have been involved in this league, I have made 30 picks, only 5 of which were mine to begin with. In the first 4 years I was in the GHL, I averaged just over 2 picks per draft, including a 2-year stretch where I only had 1 pick total. Including what I currently stand to pick this draft, I'm averaging a little over 10 picks per draft over the last 3 years.

I like looking back at my old draft boards and laughing/crying at the awful decisions I made. Like taking Joe Morrow over Hampus Lindholm or Kenny Agostino over Vincent Trocheck. Both Lindholm and Trocheck were ranked higher on my board. Not sure what I was thinking.
