Test RFA bidding is now live. Remember, especially the news guys, that bids on players have various draft pick costs based on their RFFA status (I, II, III). If you are dropping a 6M plus bid on an RFA I or RFA II, it will cost you 2 years worth of your 1st, 2nd and 3rd picks. All bids will be cleared out on Wednesday and bidding will be live. I will start a thread with the schedule and results. A good example is Johnstown bid on RFA Connor McDavid, it cost me 2 years but getting a elite franchise player like McDavid was well worth it! made the Playoffs and this past season, Johnstown won their first ever playoff series since their inception. Agreed, it has worked out for you with a player like MacDavid. I just want everyone (new and old guys alike), to be reminded that there is a huge difference between RFA/UFA. Many times in the past newer guys will see the big names and make a bid not fully understanding the potential ramifications.

I have modified the player card page to add what a players waive would be for not only this year, but for the next 2 years as well. This should assist teams in evaluating risk/reward when contemplating trades.

This should assist teams in evaluating risk/reward when contemplating trades. Could you explain the buyout rules again? I thought it was the amount saved multiplied by the years remaining. Did that change? For example, Josh Morrissey: ($6,150,000 - $5,381,250) * 4 = $3,075,000 The buyout figure on his card is $9,230,000 this year and next year and $4,100,000 the year after that.

We made the buyouts more punitive as of signings last year and moving forward. That is why you see the old slap on the wrist buyout rules for guys signed to their contracts 2 or more years ago. I will try to find the thread where this was discussed/noted. Barring finding that, I will post the port of the query that determines buyout.

Heres the code to calculate buyout
Contracts issued before 2019: (Full Amt - Adjusted Amt) * Years Left in conract
Contracts issued 2019 and after (If this yields a number higher than 1.5 * year then it is capped at 1.5 * year): (ConYearsLeft / ConLength) * (BaseYearly * ConYearsLeft)

Trying to process bids, if any, and it appears our database server is down.

8/10/2021 9:53:00 AM **LEAGUE NEWS** GHL announces creation of Department of Player Safety. Players will be disciplined for Match Penalties and multiple game misconducts Is the likelihood of a match penalty just based on the penalty rating or is there another factor? Also, just out of curiosity, how many match penalties and game misconducts were there last season?

The higher the penalty rating, the higher the chance there is to have a match penalty called. If a player is injured on the play it is a match for sure. If the player is not injured, a match penalty still could be called on the play.
Games supeneded factors in star factor of the player committing the crime versus the fouled player, fort rating of fouled player, days missed to injury for the fouled player and lastly players history.
