A half decent hockey team that isn’t always underperforming.
Best Goalie in league = Give up most goals to start the year
Revamped defense = ton of shots right in the blue paint
Dynamite offense = decent scoring output but outplayed by rebuilding team
This games gunna kill me, I don’t think I can watch this play out 🫣

It’s a long season and with the fortitudes on your team you should be fairly healthy. You’ll be fine. |

I’ve been there before! Just don’t do what I did and traded angrily!!! Give it some time, and then reconsider your stance. Maybe tinker with time on ice for lines? Maybe minimize 4th line offense time and 3rd pair defense if they’re weak. I didn’t look at your lineup, just spitballing. I’m probably the last guy you want to hear from, but that’s what I’d say. Don’t blow up your team unless you really don’t like your team.
Don’t make an emotional decision!

Oh I’m just blowing off steam. It’s a bit funny sometimes how the sim works. I’m just hoping for more highs than lows this go around. Just really odd the team gave up so many goals particularly on the first night. It should never on its worst day have given up that many, but maybe I’m still missing something.

I don’t normally post what I was offered but here was your suggestion: Ilya Samsonov and Cody Glass for Shesterkin. A third string (at best) goalie and a highly touted C who busted even before you offered him up. Fuck off |

Yes, I was poking fun at myself. No big deal. I still don't think my offer was so egregious Jon. I offered 1st Rd Pk Cody Glass and Ilya Samsanov for Shesterkin who had yet to play an NHL game. Arguably, Glass had only played a couple NHL games and Samsanov was projected to split the season in Washington. Not a bad offer. Not a great one either.
I offered you that trade proposal BEFORE the season started. IF, we look at the deal deal now, SURE it's off. I'm not saying it's fair AFTER the fact. You're getting all hell bent still? Just because I made a "Cold Call"? That's just childish.
I thought you were able to joke about it by now...The youth of America these days...Very sensitive. Hope this isn't too aggressive.

How isn't he considered a bust at this point in time? He was traded, straight up, for the #2 overall pick (Nolan Patrick) in his draft class who is widely considered a bust, albeit his injuries may be a contributing factor. And Patrick is averaging more P/G than Glass at this moment. Obviously P/G isn't the only important thing, but being drafted that high as a forward, you're expected to put up points. Not saying his career is a going to be a complete bust, but I don't think it's farfetched to call him a bust so far in his career. He just hasn't lived up to expectations (yet).
Perfect example for those who like football of a guy who was labeled a bust his first 5-6 seasons after being a 1st round pick who then turned into a great player: Brandon Graham.

NHL example: Sean Couturier Not quite a great comparison. Glass- 69 GP VS Patrick's 167 GP Glass didn't get top 6 minutes playing with the like's of Giroux or Voracek. But, in Glass' NHL Avg 13:45 MPG he was an "Even" player. Patrick had an NHL MPG Avg or just over 14 mins and is a -37. Selected early in the draft doesn't always equate to being an "instant point producer". Some guys are late bloomers. Some guys are playing lower down in the lineup due to team depth. I mean, why are we even having to discuss this? It's nothing we all don't know already. Just because Jon was all butt hurt about a trade offer and never really replied to the offer other than to voice his displeasure with it. After over a year, he's still upset! I didn't notice in anywhere in the GHL/NHL Rule Book that it was NOT ALLOWED to make less than GENEROUS OFFERS. Whoa is me! Get over it. Airing your displeasure with me certainly is not going to get you any rewards/awards. Throwing a temper tantrum over Fantasy Hockey Trade Offers?!!!
