Correct lol but how are they being allowed to enter into the season with out getting under the cap first ,,,,,, just thinking out loud

Just checked again and he looks compliant now, so he was probably just putting in his players contracts now.

No, he had done it already, I recommended to him that he might be able to adjust some contacts to gain compliance

I spoke with Quebec last night and he assured me he was going to finish his contracts last night as well so we should be able to get things finalized today.
In regards to Edmonton instead of signing guys to bad long term contracts (I am not sure which contracts he adjusted to get under the wire) owners can also ask assistance from the league in brokering a trade to one of the custodial teams to shed cap. These deals would have to highly favor the custodial term but can be an avenue for compliance.
