Hey not sure if this has been brought up but discrepancy between UFA bidding and Cap Space. Shows that I have .42 mil in cap space but in the UFA bidding shows as having 1,575,750.00. Not sure what the difference is but just want to let people know in case they are basing everything off of UFA field, Hartford already in negative cap space with 6 players to sign, Might be his phantom contracts allow him more space though. Thanks boys. This has been corrected. The cap space on the bid page was hitting a table from last year which was aggregating contract savings for guys you signed to multiple years. I cleared this table out and now all 3 cap spaces (Team page, compliancy page and bidding page) should be back in sync. If you see one that is not please let me know. Also bid results will be delayed tonight until most likely 10:30 or so as I wont be home until about that time.

Will it let me bid? Says I have 69k per player remaining. I will 100 percent fine with cap but just want to make sure it'll let me sign my last 6 100k guys

I had reached out to Chris and I believe he reached out to the new recruits before UFA started. I knew in the back of my mind that this was a possibility (a new owner with a ton of cap space and what appears to be little interest).
I was thinking of pausing the draft a few days back and have the league take over picks for absentee owners but decided against it. Perhaps next year that will be the way we will proceed in these circumstances.

Well the junior conference has 14 teams now one less with the Chicago run team I would love to run it like I’ve run Washington’s and Edmonton and set those owners up to do well

I hope it's just a case that Matt didn't want to spend crazy money to build. He drafted really well, especially considering he came in after the previous owner sold off his #1 overall pick. I just looked through his draft and I think he did a hell of a job there.

How will this affect the current UFA rounds, will they be delayed until the inflation occurs? I had a planned bid for this round that I can't submit currently.

Cap has been temporarily inflated to 2M total to allow teams to fill out their rosters. This was due to the system discrepancy between actual cap space and what was showing on the bidding page. Once all teams have a minimum of 45 players (including exactly 5 goalies (unless one is going onto LTIR at the start of the season then they can have 6)) the cap will drop 2M to 82M (the actual cap) and contract lengths will be determined.
