5/8/2022 Cornwall at NYA
I have my 4th line set for crunch time up and down 0% and yet they played at least 2 long shifts under 4 mins left
My Goalie was not pulled down a goal
Not good

If you watched the DVR, New York had the puck most of the final minute, it could have been to much pressure to pull the goalie. I can't explain the 4th line being on the ice, however.

I watched the game. That would be a coding masterpiece - pressure, if Glenn could pull that off. My 4th line had 2 shifts and there was control enough for a line change in between, so I'm gonna go with program flaw at this point.

I'd be happy to hear the reason Logan Thompson has a 10 Stamina. He's playing stalwart hockey in net for Hershey. I need him gone.
But, seriously...a 10 Stamina for 23 AHL games played and 1 NHL game. Dreidger played 23 NHL games and only has a 6 Stamina. That's weird! Maybe they play longer games in the AHL!
Why such disparity in stamina with only one game played being the difference?
Maybe when the GHL Goalie God's were handing Random numbers on Goalie Cards, some guys got lucky...
NOTE TO SELF: When signing off season goalie, no need to be concerned with "actual goalie card ratings"....73 IS NOT GREATER THAN 46

Goalies will not be pulled if the opposing team has possession of the puck in your end. I think the rule is you need to have possession of the puck on the other side of the red line in order for the goalie to be pulled in the last minute.
Whenever the 4th line is due to hit the ice the program will check to see what stage the game is in (competitive/crunch time/etc) and then use the percent played as a check to see if they hit the ice. If 50%, then there is a 50/50 shot they will get a shift. That being said your late in the game comment needs some additional context. It looks like you have your 4th line set to play a significant amount of time when the game is competitive. I would have to review the code to see what the tipping point is between competitive and crunch time but given how fast the games are displayed, it wouldn't surprise me to see that the line got it's shifts when the engine still considered the game to be competitive.
Regarding Hershey's goalie stamina, I already have started the process of engraving his name on the Conn Smythe trophy.

We need to define 'crunch time'.
I thought it was last five minutes of 3rd period no matter the score- tied or not.
Cornwall controlled the puck much of 60-65% of that game and I did watch the last minute with a CERTAIN Intensity, obviously.
NYA did not have control for the entire last minute.

No crunch time is a combination of gametime left and score down or tied. I will guarantee you that in the last minute or two is most certainly considered crunch time if the score is tied or you are leading or trailing by 1 goal.
Line selection is one of the more complex areas of code where lines can also be chosen, or guys not placed in their normal spot for a shift, given fatigue levels of players on the bench.

It's always a coding issue when we lose but never one when we win

No goalie pulled again.
You had a better game 1, I'll give you that.
Give Hella the MVP
I really didn't want to ass raped by young Christopher anyway, but it sure is coming your way.
Good luck though.

The goalie was pulled. Below is from the game debug file:
3 - 2 FULL STRENGTH ON ICE :51 D validated - original selected D validated - original selected ** LINE CHANGE ** New York 0 OFF LINE 0 DEF LINE <<===>> ** LINE CHANGE ** Cornwall 2 OFF LINE 2 DEF LINE --- Pettersson --- Josi --- Copp --- Ekblad --- Garland --- G: Hellebuyck --- Sprong --- Demers --- Nosek --- Carrier --- Jeannot --- EXTRA SKATER: Stone
When the game viewer program was originally written there was no provision for pulling the goalie. The code to show the goalie being pulled has not been retrofitted into the viewer yet.

Good luck though. Generally what we do is offer congratulations to the team that advanced, at which point said team would return with a comment regarding a hard fought battle put up by the losing team. Maybe your whining about why you lost is your feeble attempt at sportsmanship. I have always thought that a match-up against a team that is better than the one you just beat was what advancing in the playoffs was all about. Maybe Suffolk will indeed 'ass-rape' me, but if that turns out to be the case, then I would hate to see what they would have done to a team I just walked over 4-1.

Hey Phil has every right to have his nose nipped , he traded for my old goalie a second time , had a very dangerous team ,and even beat me twice towards the end of the season …… but strange things happen in the playoffs ….. good work by you Scott in round 1
