Can’t believe I’m going to say this ……..I agree with phil , I mean did Carcone break his stick on the guys neck this seams wayyyyyyyyyyy to harsh and again especially for a player with a 5 Fort I can see if it was an 8 or 9 but then he prob doesn’t get that many games hurt , so let me as u a question…. I play a game when I don’t care if I win it’s at the end of the season vs a team I might play in playoffs abd I play all my players will low forts now tell me when mathews or a top player hurts them they are out for 2 months and those players get basically all of the playoffs wiped out in game’s suspensions does that make sense ?

I’m honestly looking for an answer I’m not joking and I’m expecting a reduction the guy had a 5 fort if this is how it will be done I’ll play all low fort guys on my top line Lose the game but get suspensions on the other team , Glenn this is pure horseshit

1-3 games first offense. Base the 3-game high end off serious injury or high number of prior penalties.
Track player suspensions.
second or subsequent offense = double.
like that. Good realistic start to beginning a simulation on NHL penalties.

Maybe trade review board can review suspensions too. This one does seem too harsh for first time offense on borderline call. Think Raffi Torres holds NHL record for suspension at 41 games but thats after many many prior infractions.

We should ALL be the trade review board. Nothing like a rival conference team holding your teams players fate in their hands.
My player - Neideriter injured a Hershey defensemen with a THREE (03) Fortitude.
Like Joe said, just play guys with a 2-4 Fort on your first line and PP/PK then try for 30 game suspensions on other teams top players.
A glitch in the sim, right there....yessir....a glitch in the Matrix.

I will review the code that determines number of games. It does take the injured players fort into account (the lower the injured players fort, the lower the games) as well as the players relative worth compared to the player he injured (based on composite scores).
When we reviewed the stats last year we were seeing roughly the same number of suspensions as the NHL had seen in a similar amount of games but as of late, the suspendable offenses seem to be up.
Regarding 1 to 3 games max no matter what the transgression is? These clips beg to differ.

Marty McSorley was suspended and charged in court...He was suspended for over a year I believe.
That Carcone guy, and a host of other Ace's have been calling us names, hurling expletives at referee's and, and hurt us with mean tweets!!!!
Personally, I feel like this suspension is too soft...

Here's how we advance realism and promote accuracy in this sim:
1. Track and chart all suspensions. We need a page with them all listed so we can track how well things are working / realism.
2. Since we will never have the benefit of knowing if the injury was truly caused by a 'McSorley'/ two-hander to the temple or if it was a push or crosscheck that barely crossed the line and the injured player just went into the boards ects...
we MUST then ere on the side of caution and mitigate the penalties here in the G. We just can't have 10-20 game suspensions no matter how many days someone is injured or how much thier salary is (this is bad if it's in the code).
REALISM should come from the penalized player's history of penalties if anything.
Let's reign this in, folks.

Chris you just gave me a good laugh 😂, all joking aside there is a glitch in the system here like I said if I play a low fort on my penalty kill and a high end skill player hurts him and is suspended 15/20/25 that’s crazy the low fort guy is meant to get hurt and not play all 82 games hence the low fort , we are chasing our tails here guys ….this makes zero sense ! Again I agree with what you are saying Phil

Won't be fair to other teams to reduce any suspension already being served. Probably even best to tackle the fix in the off season.
