I realize it is early on in the season, and NHL Stats don't usually lineup properly this early...However, it appears that NY Ranger players are showing up for multiple teams as though they have played a game...They aren't scheduled to play an NHL game until Thursday Night. Also, wondering if Will Borgen can have his NHLid synced up to his GHL ID? This is his SportsForecaster link - sportsforecaster.com/nhl/p/517094/Will_Borgen |

It looks like we are going to go through another season of messed up NHL stats - failure for the Sportscaster website to load / human coding error....whatever.
That's one of the 'funnest' parts of this sim and it's a shame it can't work correctly.

YTD stats have already been fixed and should be showing up correctly for both goalies and skaters. Last night stats are showing old data (as per the date above them) because they changed the formatting of the box scores. These will not work until I re-code the method to retrieve and digest these.

If a player's card was created using AHL stats, they will not show up in this area. Borgen played an 82 game NHL season last year... I don't think this argument applies to him. |

And his card is already linked so if his stats are not showing, it could be a problem with the link between our page and the sportsforecaster.com page. I just clicked on his link and it came up an error so definitely a link problem. Might be a name issue, Will vs William or whatever.

From the comments provided, it appears it might not be an AHL player situation (a known limitation of this feature) I will have a look-see.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but my belief is his name. On the Suffolk Roster, he is showing as William, yet on the sportsforcaster.com page, he is showing as Will

Glenn, can you change Will Borgen's GHL/SportsForecaster link by correcting his name to "Will" from William please.

The case of the players IDs not linking because of variations of their first names mostly impacts the players who don't show up as drafted even if they were. Like the Nic Petan versus Nicolas Petan example a few years back. In fact, in the link provided for Borgen above you will get to the same page by dropping the name from the end sportsforecaster.com/nhl/p/517094 as you will see when you click on a working players CARD link from a teams roster page. This issue has it's root in the transition that our primary stat gathering site went through when it went from SportingNews to Sportsforecaster. This does not impact the value of a players card as all of those values are generated once the ID has been homogenized and warehoused in the league playercards table. As far as updating a table, there are many tables that use the playerID as it is the primary key to linking contracts, draft status, waivers, LTIRs, Stats and a whole host of ancillary core league function so this is not as simple one-off updating a players ID. I will review when I re-code the last night stats ingestion/production process. |

I don't take issue with any of what your saying. I'm not worrying about his stats not appearing on his card, or his attributes not being taken into account.
It's simply a matter of my OCD. It's been 5 seasons of GHL/AHL/NHL hockey for Borgen and he has never been linked using the "Pro Stats" link on our Home Page.
That's really all I want. I want to know if you can somehow link him?! 5 years...I didn't want Salmon! I said it four times!!!
