2011-2012
Rosters expanded to include 45-50 players per franchise. First amateur draft was held (5 rounds) in July. First RFA and UFA process took place. These were handled via a silent bid process as well. Due to some attrition, started season with 28 active teams and 2 run by the league. Implemented additional GM features that allows the Coach/GM to set PP and SH lineup units in addition to standard line combinations. Also included fortitude checking to diminish over used player’s performance. Included FHL Record Book page that tracks both individual and team records. Also increased team reports to show team rankings for PP and SH. Homepage moved from basement server to web hosting solution. Ownership base started to congeal and we had about 24 teams that were actively managed.
President’s Trophy (most points) Suffolk Stampede (GM Chris Frey) 120pts
Federal Cup Champion Suffolk Stampede (GM Chris Frey) defeat Quebec Quebecois 4 games to 0
2010-2011
Inaugural season of the FHL. At the start of the season there were 26 out of the 30 teams with active ownership. The additional 4 teams were run by the league. By the end of the season all thirty teams had an owner but many of the owners were not as active as the league had hoped. The initial player acquisition phase was completed utilizing several rounds of silent bids starting with minimum bids of 6M per player for round 1. Teams were operating with a 60M total salary cap. Once acquired, the length in years for owned players was determined by the GM with valid contract ranges being between 1 and 5 years. Team rosters were locked at 25 players. Due to attrition there were only about 16 to 18 active and engaged owners for the first year.
President’s Trophy (most points) Adirondack Aces (GM Scott Decker) 112pts
Federal Cup Champion Cincinnati Swords (GM Justin Sadowski) defeat Adirondack Aces 4 games to 0
