Tonight for example...no injuries. Not even a hangnail.
Seems like last year was chock full of injuries compared to this year.

I think there has been too many injuries, think Purcell and grabner were the only players I didn't lose for at least a few games this season

Clearly the sim has it out for Hainsey(or just miscoded) and his 9 fortitude and 8 Stamina and 17 minute of TOI. 99 + 11 = 110 days missed to injury this season for him. Good thing I never trust the sim and grabbed a D at the trade deadline. Don't be mad at the sim sal. Be mad at those nasty things known as probability, chance and luck.

And we have our first injury....old man Alf.

Regardless, most analysts feel that fortitude is also a skill, that ability to feel something coming in the back of your neck, a style of play, a kind of radar...if cheap shots end up hurting players, there should be subsequent suspensions.
I'd like to see the better AHL players receive marginally higher ratings, and less injuries. BUt maybe my feeling is subjective based on all the time Iginla missed over the years (playoffs! ugh.
Have we objectively studied if we have too many injuries?

Another vicious Baltimore-Cornwall game. I'll see your Alfredsson and raise you Hamhuis.

Another vicious Baltimore-Cornwall game. I'll see your Alfredsson and raise you Hamhuis. 103 total hits in game 4 ! Balt dished out 76 Can't believe no one got hurt ( on either side )

103 total hits in game 4 ! Balt dished out 76 Can't believe no one got hurt ( on either side ) That is quite impressive. I will admit your match up is the one I follow most from that conference. However I don't believe hits have anything to do with injuries in this engine. Infact I tracked players hit rating verse +/- last year and have found a correlation that says hitters are way more of a liability that an asset in the FHL. You would be incorrect in that assumption as they have a direct impact on injuries.
