I don't know if this question has been posed before, just came to my mind. While scouring the teams I noticed many with few points to make trades. I was wondering what about the possibility to make a trade of this magnitude...
TEAM A trades PLAYER X to TEAM B for 10 FP's
Is this a possibility?
Will it be a possibility?

Ok, but this scenario can still happen....
TEAM A trades Player X to TEAM B for 5th Rd Pk
TEAM B to pay all points
It's almost the same thing if it were Cindy Crosby being traded, No?

Chris....put the bottle down. Those are both insane propositions. You know that f points cant be traded or used as currency.

LOL... the only reason I thought about it, was because of Alex-Edmonton's situation. That would be an ideal option to use that function. Just thinking out loud again. No worries, it wasn't because I had a pending trade...

That being said 1/2 of each teams earned franchise points earned from last year have been added to their FP buckets. The other half will be applied once UFA has completed. Also, teams must use up (or lose) all of their FPs carried over from last year prior to the start of next season. There will be some things added (UFA extensions and other things (see list) to spend them on) incorporated on the site later this summer. gtgfhl.proboards.com/thread/2259/franchise-points-spent-onNote, that all of the new owners were given a generally speaking higher base set of points to work from so that they would not be hampered by previous owners failures with a franchise. It's against the CBA now.
