I'm happy to nothing insane at 8+ mil. This next round might get crazy.
Honestly I'd pay a first for Nash a 7 mil over a few years if my team was a playoff team.

Damn really opens up Jim for the revenge bid on Getzlaf, basically would be a trade Nash and Quebec first for Getzlaf and Cornwall first. Think Cornwall would have the higher draft pick too, Jim seems too nice for that tho and Cornwall could retain but he'd be stuck with 2 7 mil 30+ forwards

I was just on the phone with Jim seeing if he knew what he was going to do. He is going to sleep on it tonight and let me know his decision tomorrow.

You know he was already sleeping. He will be up for hour just walking around his place.

the thing is, ya gotta come strong. A really good bid for Nash should be closer to 9M. Then Jim really would have to cave.
Same with the Sedin alien twins. They are on my list as well but again, 6M aint gonna do it. Teams will almost always match unless it's a huge offer.

However, since we can't spend what the NHL can on guys due to our budget cap, Nash isn't worth $8M, neither are the Sedin's, those players are too old for that kind of $ and then you drop the draft pick on top and you have way overspent...

Jim will be able to resign Nash at a base of 7.5M (10% break for matching offer for RFA II and RFA III). he can lower this to 6.75M or so if he want to sign him to 5 years.
