This will be cool this year as I think the worst finishing team can fall as many as 4 spots in the draft. That is the way it should be!

It should be possible for the worst team to fall even further - all the way to last of the lottery picks.

we will be mirroring the NHL exactly this year, and moving forward, and I think 4 is the max. Up until a year or two ago the max fall could only be 1 spot. This is an improvement over that.

Are we linking our results to the NHL's lottery this year?

Are we linking our results to the NHL's lottery this year? Yes. Every team in the lottery will be assigned an NHL team based on that NHL teams finish. Their cards will determine the GHL lottery order.

FYI From NHL.com: www.nhl.com/news/nhl-announces-changes-to-draft-lottery-format/c-728795Beginning in 2016, the Draft Lottery will be utilized to assign the top three drafting slots in the NHL Draft, an expansion over previous years when the Draft Lottery was used to determine the winner of the first overall selection only.
Three draws will be held: the 1st Lottery draw will determine the Club selecting first overall, the 2nd Lottery draw will determine the Club selecting second overall and the 3rd Lottery draw will determine the club selecting third overall.
As a result of this change, the team earning the fewest points during the regular season will no longer be guaranteed, at worst, the second overall pick. That club could fall as low as fourth overall.
The allocation of odds for the 1st Lottery draw will be the same as outlined above for the 2015 NHL Draft Lottery. The odds for the remaining teams will increase on a proportionate basis for the 2nd Lottery draw, based on which Club wins the 1st Lottery draw, and again for the 3rd Lottery draw, based on which Club wins the 2nd Lottery draw.
The 11 Clubs not selected in the Draft Lottery will be assigned NHL Draft selections 4 through 14, in inverse order of regular-season points. Each of the non GHL playoff teams will be assigned an NHL team that finished in the same spot this year. That teams lottery pick will represent yours when the NHL draft lottery is held.

Alaska Toronto Hershey Edmonton New Jersey St Paul Syracuse Colorado (1-2-1 vs. Detroit) Detroit Ottawa Montreal (0-1-1 vs. Cornwall in games that count for the tiebreaker, Cornwall's win on 3/8 is thrown out in the tiebreaker scenario) Cornwall Boston Moncton
I will let Glenn confirm this and match up the NHL teams after tomorrow's NHL games
