Well it wasn't pretty but the Aces remained undefeated in the infant stages of the season with a 1-0 victory over the upstart Ottawa team that hopes to crack the top 8 and make the playoffs ... Jerome Iginla's lone tally was the only puck to light the lamp as this was a defensive battle ... both netminders played very well ..... like coach and GM Sly Pizone has always preached to His team on there GHL Cup run ,defense and goaltending with a sprinkle of toughness is what wins ... it's not flashy but it works !

Coach Sly Pizone was asked after the latest game vs the 'cuse a 2-2 tie what his thoughts were of the team in the early going .... "well I'm happy with the shots on goal and the offensive chances we are generating as a team .... the defense has been great as well as the goaltending but that was expected ..... now for the bad I'm not happy with the power play units not putting the damn puck in the twine ...last seasons great run was helped out greatly because the power play units performed so far this season we need to change the poor showing we have had .... with all that said I look forward to this Philly matchup ...saying it's a measuring stick game is putting it mildly I'm sure Philly is still pissed that they lost 4 straight to lose the conference finals series ... so they will come guns blazing ... I'm nervous and excited and ready to take there best punch and then counter attack ...it's going to be a damn monster movie of a game .... and that's all I have to say about that "

After a big win vs an always good barons team bf lighting up the lamp on the power play they aces put up a garbage game against a team having only one win as coach sly pizone ripped his players and was extremely upset the power play so great the game before went 0-5 that's not exceptnle against such competition .... with that being said February 12th is the next game vs the blazers and it will be a bounty game fights and injuries abound and I will tickle the twine multiple times to put salt on the wound be ready because hell is coming !!!!!
