I know you don't have a life Glenn, and have plenty of time on your hands...but, if you can take a minute to review this thought, I would appreciate your input, as well as that of others.
What do we think about running a Minor League conjointly with our Bigs?
Can we do that? If so, we can Award Fantasy Points to League Leaders in that league as well. Thoughts? I believe it had been discussed earlier, a season or two or three ago.

I talk to Glenn about this often. Minor league team and play would be a HUGE hit / selling point. It would give the bottom teams something to work on.

I think a free minor league affiliate would be a good way of attracting and training new GM's as well as a means of earning FP for the parent club.
EDIT: Everyone I have tried to attract says they love the concept, but the learning curve is pretty steep. I agree. This isn't fantasy. Much deeper. And better. There's a bit of learning to do in order to be competent let alone competitive and the sharks tend to view new guys like chum in the water.
Be a nice add IMO.

we could do that however it opens up some additional issues especially if we were going to award points for minor league performance.
Some off the top of my head:
1) since there are no waivers guys could move players up and down at their leisure. 2) The engine would have to be reviewed to see how it would handle AHL guys playing AHL guys (I assume it would be OK but couldn't say for sure) 3) The 5 goalie limit is in place to make sure that we have goalies available for GHL games because the engine needs 2 before a game can start
The table and all are setup to run concurrent leagues so that wouldn't be an issue. There just are other things that would have to be taken care of before doing so.
