Glenn, What are your thoughts for this ? This is based specifically on the number of shutouts a goaltender had during the year. This will allow the goaltender, on rare occasions to make a save that he normally wouldn't/shouldn't have been able to make. It is not as important as the primary stats because the chance to trigger it will be low (a percentage point or two) but it will help.

It wasn't in effect this year, correct ?

I'm assuming the big save being implemented this year......I'm seeing some games where the goalies seem to be making them.
What's the percentage....can this game stat be further illuminated so we know exactly what we are dealing with here ?
