It's quite interesting to see the DVR / live action game and this is why:
After about 1/2 into the first period, I started see a lot more of my guys in the 'non blue' color stamina. Then into the second and third periods, outright yellow and even orange! My opponents fatigue looked much better.
I paid careful attention to my 4th line guys and I DID see them taking what seemed to be 'a shift or 2, here and there' but something was still a miss and after I saw the box score, now I know. I was going to hold this information close to the vest but figured it was better to share it and bring more people into the light of knowledge.
I had set my 4th line guys to 35% which usually gets me around 5-6 Even strength minutes and mebbe @ 4 regular shifts per period.
After this game I saw that they all had @ 1 minute of even strength play the entire game! no wonder all my other lines were tired. The other observation I made watching the DVR was that it seemed like only 1-2 of my 4th line forwards were out - not all 3, at any given time. I wonder if the computer 'rolled' over 35% EVERY SINGLE shift and gave my 4th line guys ZERO even strength time and only played them to fill in for a tired 1st thru 3rd line forward! That may account for not seeing all three of them together at any given time.
Currently, I have no thoughts on solutions or 'work withs' on this issue but I just wanted to be fair and knock out a thread on my observations and thoughts.
Good Hockey, gentlemen.
