Winning in the Glenn Simulation ?
Look at the Cleveland Dynasty to see how a winning team is put together.
Look at Alaska / Original Aces team.
See how they pick their Special teams players.
Stamina? How important?
Defense - shot block? How important?
Passing? Defense passing?
Pinching in? This stat I don't think really gets used other than coming up random. Seems like G will roll it out in time.
Toughness, Grit, Hitting - I think it's active, but not a whole lot.
Fighting = zero affect in the Sim, more's the pity.
Montreal always seems to play 'over their head' especially when on Auto. Good players and skill - not a hand out.
Moncton is a smart guy and as a Canadian, know's Hockey but always seems to field a below 500 team. Why exactly ?
Oregon had it's pick of players and obviously chose - WIN NOW. Are they living up to their selections ?
on and on and on.
The simulation is good and accurate IMO, It's a fun and realistic endeavor. It's a lot of maths and stats and percentages. The good teams come out winning at the end of the season -playoffs. There are also several series where the better team may not win in 5-6 or 7 games.
Chris will explode if he goes out in the first round. Ex. Plode.
Good game. Good Hockey.

I haven't entertained a Phil-ism in a while.
Yeah, I'd be mad losing in the first round. Who likes losing? You? In life, there's those that love misery. I hate being miserable, but I'm good at it. I can make a Great time look miserable. Guess it's just my poker face. Then, there's the kind that act happy---but, they aren't. What's your type?
I'll add this little tid-bit for you Philip. Before we even had our first draft, one of the key components Glenn mentioned, was "STAMINA". So, while everyone was drafting, I was actually drafting guys that not only had skill, but that I rounded out my lineup with guys that could actually play the minutes without gasping. Apparently, that part of the code wasn't developed and Stamina had no bearing on games. That's why I had to totally revamp my team after the first season. Because, everyone else was drafting plyers that had no PRO experience but mediocre cards. Me, thinking it was an actual NHL statistical formula being used, wrongfully drafted. Unfortunately, I wasn't part of either of the two Philly Area Cliques (Young guys and Old guys), I knew no one. Still, I know no one. But, everyone thinks they know me.
How many seasons now? We keep going forward, but we keep leaving some potential developments behind. It took a few seasons before stamina played any role.
Very good sim...could be the best!

This could be your year Chris. I thought NYA was going to run away with it due to their goalie, but your oafense first team just may be better. Should come down to you and Scotty D.
Stamina is funny. It seems like 'most' games it plays a role or gets rewarded but I have absolutely seen a couple teams with a '3' guy on the second line still win a lot.
Home ice -same. Seems like a little bump for the home team but not always.
The big guy always says 'wait until the end of the season' for it all to shake out - the better teams pulling away.

Stamina is a huge factor. I would have to review the code to be sure of the breakdowns but the premise is this. If a guy has a 8 rating in a skill that is being tested and he is fresh he gets 3 random die rolls of an 8 sided die and the best number is taken. If one step down in freshness, he gets 2 die rolls and the best is kept, 1 step down he only gets 1 die roll, if another step down 2 dice are rolled and the lower number is used.
The higher stamina guys lose stamina more slowly when on the ice and regain it faster when on the bench.

Glenn, if you’re replying to my post above; I was referring to when we ran our First Season.
