A weird thing happened on the way to Suffolk winning 12 Games in a Row...
Suffolk Wins 12 Games in a row, goes 13-2, takes over 1st Overall Ranking and actually drops from 2nd to 6th in Power Rankings.

Power ranking takes into account teams strength of schedule. I know, but one day we'll stop contradicting ourselves. I'm just making a point. On one hand we have a SIM league where each team can win on any night, and it doesn't matter what type of talent you have on your team...because that's why we play the game. You don't have an advantage because your players are better than the opponents players. And, on the other hand, you play and win 13 games out of 15 and then it matters who you beat, meaning: you were better than the other teams, and you were supposed to beat them anyhow. But, if you do it doesn't matter. It's some kind of Jedi Mind fuckery. ...So Yeah, I get it! It's ass backwards libtard stuff. When are we going to have the GHL LGBQT Skatathon!

We're not wearing the Jersey's here in New York and we're opting out of any further virtue signaling and...
Isn't that how power rankings work in all professional sports? And inferior teams can beat superior teams on any given night in any sport as well. That's just real life. Nothing ass backwards about any of that.

News Flash: GHL is not REAL LIFE
I mean, you have to make up your mind. Are we JUST LIKE the NHL, or are we NOT LIKE the NHL?
Either way, It Ain't Real Life for US.

I am taking a break from the forums for a bit. Too many arguments sound like they are being made by menopausal women.

That's it, run away. You hold your feelings in too much. Just like a stubborn old kraut.
By the way...Jim Morrison's Father was CIA after his Naval Service concluded...

News Flash: GHL is not REAL LIFE I mean, you have to make up your mind. Are we JUST LIKE the NHL, or are we NOT LIKE the NHL? Either way, It Ain't Real Life for US. Being just like the NHL is not possible. It's actually what the weird simulation means. We mold ourselves around the NHL by using player stats to build our cards, but expecting our players to match their previous seasons NHL stats is not realistic without all the other factors being the same, and even then I'm not sure it's possible. My references to the NHL are in comparison only. Would this be fun if all we just mirrored the NHL? What would be the point of even being a part of this if we already knew going in that Sheshterkin or Matthews were going to finish the GHL season with exactly the same numbers as they did in the NHL. What the hell are we even talking about here? It's stupid, and I'm done with it. We are all exactly where we belong in the standings. We beat teams that we shouldn't, and we lose to teams that we should crush. Sometimes even 6-2.

As if we hadn't all known or said it before. But, you keep saying this isn't the NHL and we can't compare ourselves to the NHL. Then you use an NHL comparison to make a point.
Listen, we ALL know, and aren't expecting EXACT NHL results. We know our teams aren't built the same as any NHL team.
I'm not yelling. I'm not angry. Am I frustrated about some things...Yes.
It frustrates me more that things don't get addressed or fixed and we just keep moving forward without a solid answer or complete understanding about some issues. We don't even know if there are issues. Or whether or not those issues are big or small. I just keep getting dismissed because I don't keep excel sheets or having a grasp of the math like others do.
Yes, I'm winning. Doesn't mean that things are right, or wrong. For example...A few seasons back Glenn mentioned he was going to add code that would impact some portion of the engine which was based purely on "GM's hate meter." I don't even know if it was ever implemented. But, if it were...it would be a subjective issue and definitely open to bias.
There are many things about the engine that I am clueless and will never grasp. But, should I not say anything when I see something that I feel is an issue?
This is a SIM! Stop the Sim! Address any issues. Fix any issues. If we fall behind in the schedule, we can run two days worth of games (or any number of days worth) in one day to catch up.
I use to contribute in the beginning. A particular GM made up accusations and bad mouthed me and then another GM joined in on the BS. Now, I don't give a shit if I'm hurting anyones feelings. All I'm doing is stating/sharing opinions. I could be totally wrong. But, if the creator doesn't address an issue about the engine, YOU ALL CAN'T SAY DIDDLY! You don't know, cause you all didn't write it! And there in lies an issue. Every time one of us posts something up that we think might be an issue, all of us arm chair system analysts (myself included) jump in and give our two cents.
None of us wants to argue...but when there's someone giving an answer to an issue that they aren't qualified to answer, it only adds to confusion and buries the question in a lengthy thread and frustrates us all.

Have you taken him up on his zoom call offer? I’ve seen him post his willingness to do so a few times.
