Now that all of our franchises are swelling with talent, it is time to pick your city and nickname for your minor league franchise. Now, because travel for the minors will be by bus only, and the FHL League Offices are located in the Keystone State, all the minor league teams will need to be located in Pennsylvania.
With that in mind, here is a list of cities available located here in the heart of the rust belt:
Aliquippa Allentown Altoona Arnold Beaver Falls Bethlehem Bradford Butler Carbondale Chester Clairton Coatesville Connellsville Corry DuBois Duquesne Easton Erie Farrell Franklin Greensburg Harrisburg Hazleton Hermitage Jeannette Lancaster Latrobe Lebanon Lock Haven Lower Burrell McKeesport Meadville Monessen Monongahela Nanticoke New Castle New Kensington Oil City Parker Pittston Pottsville Reading St. Marys Scranton Shamokin Sharon Sunbury Titusville Uniontown Warren Washington Wilkes-Barre Williamsport York
Awards will be made on a first come first serve basis so go ahead and select a town, claim it, and then announce the team name here as well. I am not sure how far we will go with this (besides pure aesthetics for sure) but we very well may have the minor league teams battling it out in conjunction with the big boys.
If you want, you can even design team logos and uniforms just like the Major league teams have. I think we can have some fun with it.
If after a few weeks time some franchises haven't claimed a city/nickname, one will be assigned for them.
So go ahead and reply to this post with your choice and nickname.

York Capitals or York Confederates, what do those from PA like more? Trying to stick with the historic angle, while doing civil war research, I also came up with Phoenixville Cannoneers but Phoenixville was not on the list.

Was also wanting to go with a civil war angle. Harrisburg Union...unless anyone objects. Union - Confederate Rivalries!
