I was just going through the team pages doing a little research and thought of a question. Since players who had minor league contracts on our rosters last year will need to be given pro contracts in order to play in the FHL, is there a database that tracks who all of these players were. Just wondering because I have come across a few guys on different rosters that may have good enough cards to be in line-ups.

I'm sure it's fairly easy for Glenn to keep track of this, next to the salary it says MIN instead of UFA/RFA. There are a couple FAs from last year who have like $6 million contracts and show as MIN, but for the most part if the player is under 500k and says MIN it's probably safe to assume they are a minor leaguer. |

Ya, I understand that, but all that disappears when the new cards are loaded but I do think there's a database that keeps track of it all, just verifying.

I could probably make you a spreadsheet of all these players in about 20 minutes if you are interested? Based off last year's contracts of course.

Yes. I track these systematically. Normally tracking something like this is very straightforward but there is some added complexity due to the fact that some players were tracked last year using their AHL ids because they didn't have an entry on the hockeynews site. This will all be handled by me. No worries. |

I noticed some teams are actually still showing minor league players. In addition, all draft picks for this upcoming draft aren't showing up on team pages.

I see none Ian, which guys are you referring to? Well I know off the top of my head Moncton shows 100kish players still, although their contracts are listed as ending 2013. Obviously something isn't right with that, but now that I think about it, it's probably because they aren't listed as ending in 2012. |

By the way, if someone is looking to reference what minor leaguers a team has, they can still be found in the blue/white section of the team page listing players card stats. Just obviously not able to see the contracts.
