Oh the code is functioning as designed. As I have stated a number of times, the source site is not updating their stats. That unfortunately is well outside the purview of the GHL.

can we get a new source to scrape nightly? There has got to be a dozen or so and most update perfectly, I would have to think.

No. Since I use the player identifier to tie these to our GHL contracts this must be the source.
Even if this wasn't the case, I see no value in spending time coding a new solution for the time it takes our primary site to get their shit handled.

Well, last nights stats seemed to be up and available for us this AM when the program kicked off and stats for the most part are up to date (not sure about Sherwood).
Hopefully they have everything squared away with their update processes.

Sherwood is still wrong, but since you said the cards went off of nhl.com I am less concerned.

So, in the mornings (sometimes) the Sports Forecaster website does not populate the prior evenings NHL player stats which was the case last night and the result is our GHL scraping cannot occur.
But....
Sometime this late morning the Sports Forecaster website DID catch up and populate last evenings NHL player stats but we must wait until tomorrow for the GHL scrape.
Sports Forecaster = odd

I checked this AM and noted the same, that the stats hadn't updated on the source site.
I can schedule the program to run at any time. I think the best bet may be too run it early AM as it is setup now (I think 6:45 AM), and also re-kick the program off at or around 11:45 as well. Because the program is setup to overwrite any existing stats, this might help out until the source site nails their processes down and starts handling their shit.

as of 1220 (pm) hours EST, the Hockey New 'Forecaster' has updated it's NHL stats for last night's games.
GHL scraping has not occurred.

Yeah I checked around lunch to see my guys stats from last night (after the 11:30 run) and saw that they weren't updated yet (sportsforecaster hadn't updated yet. I checked the source site around 2:00, saw that the source site was updated and manually kicked off the scraper program (the 3rd run of it today) at that time.

I think Scott was merely pointing out a possible explanation as to the state of both the source site and the GHL page.
On a good note, it looks like since there were only 2 games in the NHL yesterday, the site was updated this morning whenever the 645 scraper kicked off.
