Question: If I happen to trade Bachman, can I then drop Pirri? I looked up the rule book, which just says we can waive a player "who had retired". Neither Bachman nor Pirri have retired. So I really dont get the wording here. Thanks Each GHL owner gets to waive (drop) ONE player for any reason - NHL retirement / shitty card is one such reason. ANY use of the waiver is 'with penalty' and remaining term will count a percentage against your CAP. The wording isn't the greatest in G rule book. I'm pretty sure that's not the case. The only free drops you can make are on guys with no card because they played in Europe, guys with no card because they were hurt the entire season, or any drafted player that hasn't played in a GHL game. You get one waiver with penalty. That's what you would have to use on a guy that retired or had a shitty card.

Waive: Jason Garrison Drop: Linden Vey Daniel Zaar Troy Grosenick Mitch Moroz Retain at 100k: Nikita Nesterov Just went through all of these to check status, only meaningful issue is with Troy Grosenick above, he is listed as not having a card but played 27 games in the AHL in 2017-18 and therefore should have a card and as an RFA, an asking price.
