Actually we pretty much mirror the NHL with the exception of allowing any player to be retained and extended for one year that was missing all year because of injury.
Every other aspect I think mirrors the NHL so if were were to extend guys who played a game or 2 and then got hurt that would be taking us farther away from NHL reality as opposed to moving us closer to it.

I would have to look at the code that is executed whenever a player without a card due to injury or playing overseas is retained for 100k. If they are extended, it would be only these guys and not a guy that only played 2 games in a year.
