Halifax and Alaska are the respective coaches/GM/selectors for the 2021 GHL All Star Game. As always, at least 1 player per team. Please send me a PM with the ID and name of 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies.
A sample format is below:

The ID can be determined by hovering your mouse over [PRO] clickable for the player on the team pages.
Once received, I will update the team lineups and you will be able to set your lines.
If we could have these done by Wednesday that would be great.
If you need assistance, a post on the forum here will likely lend you and aid required.

Alaska has submitted their selection. Scott, I have changed the password of the PoW all stars to the same as Alaskas. Please login and set your lineup by using the PoW drop down selection and entering Alaskas password.

Assuming someone else had to step in for the Campbell All-Stars? Yes, I was asked to select the team. I selected based on merit, which is the way I feel it should be done, however it appears the POW might have been selected on card value. |

After having made these selections myself, I can honestly see how players get snubbed with having to select at lest one player from each club. This becomes more obvious when certain players are selected based on card value rather than GHL merit. A few players I felt I snubbed were Kadri (due to the selection of Theodore) and Goligoski (due to the selection of Weber). I also liked Schwartz, Bertuzzi, Tatar and Josi, but spots are limited. Since I selected based on GHL merit, I had no undeserving players, however. On the contrary, the POW had a few players that stood out to me. Slavin has 19 points and a -9 rating. It is worth noting that the Campbell D is filled with 30+ point guys. Back to the POW. Tanev, 14 points -14. McDonagh also has only 14 points but is a +17 so I can make an argument for him to be an All-Star. In the forward group, we have Schmaltz, who does have a pretty good point total with 36 on the season but also carries a -15 rating. Zbad has only 22 points and is a -20 and MacKinnon has 28 points, -4. BIG SNUBS of the POW...Rantanen 33g, 22a, that's 55 points. Albeit Draisaitl was the Colorado representative with the same point total. The aforementioned Lindholm 28g, 26a, 54p. Jarry with a .904 save % representing Detroit. Donskoi, 23g, 18a, 41p. Donskoi is a -11. Schmaltz, mentioned above, with less points and a slightly worse +/- selected over Donskoi. I will simply say that Donskoi has a 72 offense rating while Schmaltz is an 82. To sum this rant up. Yes, we will always have All-Star snubs, but they are much more glaring when players are selected who are undeserving of the honor and have only been picked based on card value. Please go the poll Glenn posted to stop this practice in the future and make our sim more realistic. |

As there were no hard rules, or even a discussion, before Scott-Alaska made his selections this is not an indictment on his picks. Starting next year, we will ask the selecting GMs to use GHL current year merit as the primary measuring stick for the selections.
That being said, I still like the Campbells chances!

Congrats 🎊 Scott on putting together a kick ass team ,.... when will guys realize the GHL is about speed .....passing ...shooting pct .... faceoff wins and a strong goaler ..... the card numbers are not the end all be all .... there u go I gave away the secret to winning .... run with it !!!!
