A goalies stamina color value (Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red) is refreshed at the end of the last game their team played. The following items go into determining a goalie status. The goalies stamina will be used in each of the following functions to determine game status:
Consecutive games played
% of games played as a function of total games played
Number of games played in last 30 days (rolling)
Number of games played in last 60 days (rolling)
Remember, the higher the stamina the more these players can be used. Also know that if you are riding a guy who really was a backup in the NHL last year (and his stamina is low), by using him game after game you may put his status so low that his stats are down for a game or even so low that he could be unavailable for some games.
As a reminder for all and a note to the new guys you don't want to ride your NHL backup goalie too hard as a starter in the GHL. Status will stay Blue (Rested) for the first two weeks but these guys are only good for a certain number of games (you can use GP last year in total as a measuring stick) before they get fatigued and won't be as effective.
Goalie Stamina is the value to watch here. The higher the stamina, the more they can be used before becoming fatigued. I will try to locate the post that discusses this and post it here. Fortitude is how injury prone they are. The higher the number, the less the chance of injury.
In all cases, points are based on the goalie aggregate score (techpts + athlpts) and then these extra points are distributed randomly to individual scores.
Blue: The goalie will get a few extra points added to his aggregate score and assigned above. This is typically between 2 and 8 (random determination)
Green: No adjustments currently being made. I am tinkering with making this a small random adjustment (-5% to +5% of aggregate score) but this is not in production yet.
Yellow: A random number is used to determine a range between 1% and 10% of aggregate score. So for a 60-60 goalie, this mean somewhere between 1 and 12 points.
Orange: A random number is used to determine a range between 2% and 20% of aggregate score. So for a 60-60 goalie, this mean somewhere between 2 and 24 points.
Red: A random number is used to determine a range between 4% and 40% of aggregate score. So for a 60-60 goalie, this mean somewhere between 5 and 48 points.
Also note that for the ranges from orange and red, the final percentage is based on a weighted factor of 2 and 3 dice rolls accordingly so the number will be somewhere in the middle of the ranges.
