I was curious what ya'll think your minor team would look like. Below is what the Tacoma Villagers (name is undergoing development and patent pending) would look like:
With Jakub Zboril and Alexander Romanov being forced into my GHL lineup (and even Foote and Gilbert sitting on my bench) the defensive depth is just not there, but great first two pairs and guys who should develop into GHL/NHL defensemen on the defensive side...given time.
The offense has two really good lines with loads of NHL level experience throughout despite the young average age. The only players over 25 are Trevor Lewis (34) and Miikka Salomaki (28). Plus with Ondrej Kase heading for LTIR, Morgan Geekie is forced into the big boy lineup slightly ahead of schedule which demonstrates the deepest portion of the roster, which is RW. The top 2 lines could all be graduating, as early as next year, into full time NHL/GHL players. For some, such as the older Svechnikov, this may also be the last year at a real chance to make that step as well.
In Goal, Joel Hofer is the unquestioned starter as Nedeljkovic finally got his chance to shine last year and Shesterkin quickly dethroned "King Henrique" in New York. So depth needs to be rounded out (Evan Fitzpatrick not collecting enough games to get a card) and hopefully find a diamond in the rough who can shift into a GHL role eventually.
Overall, team lacks highest end prospects due to already playing in the G' but otherwise strong team with weak areas on 3rd D pair and backup goal.
LW-C-RW layout
Line 1: Ivan Checkovich - Alex Turcotte - Kole Lind
Line 2: Evgeny Svechnikov - Joel L'esperance - Matthew Phillips
Line 3: Emilio Pettersen - Trevor Lewis - Givani Smith
Line 4: Miikka Salomaki - Lukas Vejdemo - Nick Caamano
D-Pair 1: Cal Foote - Dennis Gilbert
D-Pair 2: Jett Woo - Josh Teves
D-Pair 3: Scrub 1 and Scrub 2
Goalies: Joel Hofer and 100K scrub
Bench: Jeffrey Viel (LW), Matthew Struthers (C), Dmitry Zavgorodny (RW), Trey Fix-Wolanski (RW), Dmitry Sokolov (RW)
No card/Prospects: Evan Fitzpatrick (G), Cole Koepke (LW), Dmitry Semykin (D)
