If I’m planning on LTIR a goalie, should I have 6 on my roster to begin the season?

Everyone should have 5 at the start of the season. Then you have the ability to LTIR one that qualifies to get down to 4

What is the league doing to crack down on teams that go over the 5 goalie limit? Or did we do away with that?

Typically teams who are over trade a tender to a team that is under. That’s what I did one year when I was at 6 and none of them were LTIR-able.

Glenn, Just curious question.. with the approximately 10 days off for games with the All-Star games, do the Goalies rest get bumped up to full rest? you would think so since it's like 10 days? I couldn't remember and was trying to see if was in any threads. Thanks.

Goalie fatigue is calculated after his owning team plays a game. This is for all goalies on the system not just for the ones that played in the particular just-ended game. The 10 days of rest, or how ever many they have prior to their teams next game is factored in but as goalies percent of team games played are also used to determine their "freshness", lower stamina goalies who have played a large chunk of their teams games will still most likely not recover to the blue status even with the 10 days off.
