Gusev never played a GHL game? Seems odd he is eligible to be dropped for free considering he played 97 NHL games. I don't know the situation, just jumped out to me. He played overseas all of last year. I believe that has always been a free drop or retain rights for 100k. |

2019-2020 With the NHL Devils he had 44 points in 66 games = giving him a very good 2021 GHL card.
We can't see Cards and history of players when they are 'off the books'
Should be a way to look at this guy.

Yeah, these are all based on the research you did Scotty which shows me a flag whenever a guy is targeted for retainment or free drop. All of these guys were flagged as being able to be dropped without penalty. |

If he played in the NHL or AHL, which I think you said he did, then yes, he would have had a card.

Given the current player card architecture, there is no way for you to see it.
That being said he is in the play card table.

It doesn’t matter if he saw GHL games. If he played in Europe all last season and doesn’t have a card then he’s a free drop.

The only time it matters if he played GHL games is if he's on an ELC. That was also the rule I was thinking of and then I noticed his GHL contact and realized this was not the case. The next time I logged in, I had already been corrected by Glenn and Eric, rightfully so. |
