I would say the problem with society, if you want to go there, is that everybody is so fucking sensitive about everything. I could give a shit if someone feels Chris has become a victim, I don't have the ability to bend to societal pressure. Do you know what happens when someone gets offended... nothing, nothing happens. Bringing up woke terms like gaslighting is not going to change me posting a simple joke on the forum, nor will it make me feel like I should apologize for someone's sensitivity issue. Stop making this a whine fest and trying to politicize a hockey sim. I have no problem with Chris or anyone else bringing up what they view as an issue with the sim or the code. What I do have an issue with is this forum becoming a hurt feelings report. For fuck sake, my comment was intended to make you guys laugh and congratulate Chris on his great season. Fuck you if you can't take a joke or a compliment, I'm not going to tip toe around a bunch of men who grew up in hockey locker rooms. If any of this triggers you, look in the mirror. Your sensitivity is not my issue.

Chris, I think you misunderstood my reply. I agree that tracking the changes is a reasonable request and I created a place to aggregate and compile the changes. Changes I make moving forward will be updated in this thread by myself. gtgfhl.proboards.com/board/29/simulator-change-logI was suggesting that if someone wanted to do it, they could search my posts using the search button on the ribbon above (this is not something that is technically challenging) and pull out the ones that talked about what the changes were. If they did this, I would add them to the thread discussed above as the new starting point. Yes, I most certainly did misunderstand your reply. But, I did attempt at searching for said posts. It took me back some 33-35 pages deep before I got to June 2022. From there, there weren't many posts referencing the subject that could be beneficially used. They were vague because I would have had to find the discussion links to interpret them. So, I got bored and gave up searching. I would think that these would almost all be located in the 22-23 status thread.

Chris understood. It is strange, almost passive aggressive or perhaps some form of gaslighting, how Chris becomes the victim here, or the people's champion. I WILL CERTAINLY voice sour grapes /loser status and go on record that there are 10-11 game/losses over the season, that I absolutely should have won. Chris's latest tirade came on the heels of Cornwall outshooting his squad and a tie. I could also sour grapes the fact that I should have scored 1 or 2 PP goals that game and won - there WOULD have been a Suffolk meltdown if that happened - kicked the family dog, yelled at the kids ect. As much as I gripe, I find myself back here at the Sim, again and again trying to win. But back to the Tie Suffolk game. I honestly think I can win in a 7 game series. I think so. Another attempt by the Captain of the SS Shit Stirrer to cause a mutiny...

Are you lamenting your puck luck or making the point that this should/could never happen or maybe both? I'm sharing my lamentations! As has been the case very often this season...I can outshoot an opponent by 30-40 shots and win or lose by one goal. Lamenting my puck luck, even though my teams scoring is up, is still sub par as it relates to shooting percentage. My players are all far below their NHL shooting percentage. Which confuses me. Because, they are performing extremely well with puck possession, shooting, defense...but, when it comes to scoring a goal as it relates to shots taken, they are all underperforming. I can make a generalization, and claim that it directly relates to a goaltenders "Big Save" rating. True or Not?

So, I went ahead I did my research regarding "Most Shots by a Single Team". Since 2000, only 7 Teams have had 60 or more shots in a game. Their Record is 3 Wins/4 Losses records.nhl.com/records/team-records/shots-on-goal/most-shots-one-team-one-gameSuffolk has done it 11 times this season alone.....with an 11-1 Record. Since 2000, only 4 teams have had 30 or more shots on goal in a period.... Tampa 2018-19 Scored 3 goals on 33 shots Montreal 2017-18 Scored 2 goals on 30 shots Dallas 2018-19 scored 4 goals on 30 shots Tampa 2022-23 scored 2 goals on 30 shots The teams were 2 wins and 2 losses. Suffolk scored 0 goals on 30 shots records.nhl.com/records/team-records/shots-on-goal/most-shots-one-team-one-periodSynapsis....I'm not saying this to brag. I'm saying it because, you're right, it does happen....NOT very often!

There is a much larger disparity in team strength in the GHL than there is in the NHL. We have the luxury of knowing approximately where our teams will finish before the season starts and make moves accordingly. I'm guessing the 11 games of 60 or more shots came against the bottom tier teams in our league.

You may or may not recall that a few weeks back I answered a question about goalie fatigue and reported that the engine state as of right now does not factor in game wind for goalies. This renders the number of shots in a period moot as with a lot of action, goalies are not currently getting tired. So the fact that all 30 shots in a period were stopped, should really be looked at as saying the goalie stopped of 30 shots. Extrapolating we know that any goalie who faces more than 30 shots in a game and records a shut saved at least 30 in a row. You can't argue that some of them should have gone in without arguing that Hellybuck should have saved more than 3 of the last 16 shots he faced in the game. You could also infer that perhaps the skaters in front of him grew more tired as the later stages of the game and that had a factor in him giving up 3 goals on 16 shots.
Just food for thought.

I wasn't/didn't want to bring fatigue into the equation. I asked about/questioned whether or not, a Goaltenders "Big Save" Rating came into account.
