When you think of a PB&J sandwich, what details come to mind? Are you using jelly, jam, preserves, squeezable spread? And what flavor is your go-to option? Is your peanut butter crunchy or creamy?

Sandwich assembly should also be discussed as when I have PB Sammy for lunch, 1 sandwich isn't enough and 2 is too much. Therefore, I will spread the peanut butter (chunky preferred) on one half of 3 slices of bread and then fold them over to arrive at the perfect 3 half sammy result. Also, on occasion I like to add a bit of honey on each one as well instead of the fruit based preservative.

I'm a two sandwich guy, particularly if I have more than one flavor or jam available. Growing up my family's default was black raspberry jam, which I still use today, but I do enjoy pairing it with a sandwich that has strawberry jam/preserves. For the PB part, I like to spread a thin layer of creamy on the bread first before adding some chunky. The creamy acts as a buffer to protect the bread against the spreading of the chunky layer.
Sometimes I like to mix it up a bit though, maybe some red raspberry, or once in a blue moon, some grape.

If it’s thin sliced fresh Italian, it’s gonna take two Sammies. I’m a crunchy kinda guy and I love me some Welch’s grape . Chuck it bag with a little OJ or pineapple juice. Oddly, if it’s straightPB, I always drink water with it. Being of Celtic heritage, my go to is the chip (French fry) sandwich with butter and ketchup. Gravy is a definite bonus!
