Looking at Goalie stats above 50 in both categories only...

Looks like Goalies in the 40's are going to be on the struggle bus unless well insulated against bad teams or have excellent D in front of them. So for the sake of drawing the line. Here's some real quick data.

Teams that have more than one 'Marquee' Tender:

Boston - 4

Philly - 3

Mich - 3

Wash -3

Oregon -2

Monc -2

Cinci -2

Colo -2

Baltimore -2

Teams with zero Goalies above 50 - 50

Calgary, Edmonton, Pitt, Chi, Halifax, Hart, NJ, NYA

Every other team has just one


Can't see the draftable goalies but can bet theres not more than a couple over 50 -50. UFA's that will mostly likely not get franchised back ? Just two ? !

Piggie backing off this thread. 9 games into the season, 5 shutouts. Are goalies good again?

Maybe, but I think in at least a couple cases it's a result of the rosters involved.  

Cincy and Edmonton were two franchises that were inactive during UFA, and it shows in their respective rosters.  Cincy only has 4 players total with an OFF Comp of 70 or above (one of which is a defenseman).  I think Cincy's 2nd line in the game against Adirondack was two guys with OFF Comps of 65 and one with an OFF Comp of 59 on account of an unset lineup. 

Edmonton's roster is slightly better looking but still weak on the offensive side, and also with a lineup that wasn't set.  The auto-lineup put a C in the LW spot, a winger in the C spot, and a C/LW in the RW spot for his first line, which I think means all of those players were dinged a bit for being out of position, but I could be mistaken.

Jed I’m pretty sure when you put a player out of position ,except on the PP , you lose 10% of card value …. That’s why I don’t get why a few teams have no lineup set

Well, speaking for Edmonton, I will be setting his lines asap for him due to him being active duty and leaving for deployment tomorrow. Soooo, that would give you an idea of why he was fairly inactive.
