Apologies for the delays, but here is your 2022-23 GHL Awards ballot!

Attached below is the Excel file with the ballot.  There are 10 nominees plus an additional blank spot for each award (for those who wish to include one write-in candidate per award).

I had to leave a few more teams off this year, only 24 of 32 teams represented in the ballot this year.

For all awards listed (including the Jack Adams award) please vote your top 5 choices, the point values for each place are as follows:

As there seems to be some confusion on filling these out, I've also included a sample ballot as a reference.

Points values:

1st place: 10 points

2nd place: 7 points

3rd place: 5 points

4th place: 3 points

5th place: 1 point


Tie breakers will go to most number one votes, then most number two votes, and then most number 3 votes. If in the end players are still tied we will draw the black card flip a coin.

One ballot per owner, anyone working double duty running vacant teams may not submit a ballot for their foster team.

Owners with completed ballots have received 5 FPs in years past. Incomplete ballots risk not receiving the FPs, but the votes will still be taken into account. Also, anyone attempting more than one write-in candidate per award will risk have those write-ins nullified.

Balloting is considered open as of this post. With draft prep and the onset of trading likely getting more of your attention in the coming weeks, we will leave balloting open for an extended period of time - will probably time it to close around the end of the draft, with the results being released soon after.

As adding attachments in DMs didn't appear to be an option, please feel free to direct email me your completed ballot at the address listed on the Hartford team page - I also have a draft email on standby to email the ballot file to those who are less frequently on the site, so if you know any fellow owners who are not likely to see this, let me know and I'll send it their way.

Thanks for putting this together Jed. The formatting and all look great!

One note though, I think we may need to verify some of the values. I was working on Lady Byng and noted that the big rig "Oleksiak" was a candidate with only 2 penalty minutes. I quick checked his GHL stats from last year and it looks like he had 92.

I suggest everyone pause completing their forms pending review.

Yeah, I think everything else on his stat line was accurate, so not sure how that occurred, but I'll be happy to reach out to anyone who plugged him in, just in case they's like to make an update.

I honestly had seen it, and considering I probably watched every Kraken game this year, thought that it was either a very low key joke or the worst example of how the sim can do really odd stuff.

Now that the draft has concluded, I'll be preparing to tally up the votes from the awards ballots sometime this Sunday, so if you haven't submitted one, try to get one in. Particularly those of you out there trying to scrape up some FPs for trades or UFA extensions, consider submitting a ballot as you'll receive 5 FPs for your participation.
