To conclude the 2024 business, I would first like to extend a congratulations to Chris and his Suffolk franchise for their third cup win.
I should have a release date for the cards within the next few days. I will post the date/time when known and I thought it might be fun to hold a Twitch event for the occasion where GMs could ask questions and I could provide some clarification on how ratings are determine and ways we can use additional stats to tighten up the def ratings a bit more.
I also have tossed around the idea of allowing goalies with certain thresholds to have a floor once in the playoffs that could keep them (if their Stam rating was high enough) not to fall below yellow, perhaps green if they had a 8+ or 10 fort rating respectively.
I will post something in potential rule updates area (to include a poll) in a bit.

Cards should be done by the end of this weekend. I will be reaching out to the usual helpers to solicit assistance in goalie games lost to injury, missing contracts and other assorted league administrative tasks.
I will be sending out a note to the owners who have not remitted their dues for this year. I think there might be only 10 or so on this list because many have already paid in advance to unlock their teams draft picks.
I will provide further updates this weekend both on here and on league Discord site.

I/we call the entire process card creation but in actuality, after doing this for 14 or 15 years, the generating of the actual cards takes about 25% of the time and the 75% of time is tying these players to existing or past contracts.
These are taking a little extra time this year because I am spending more time up to normalize the major ratings (primarily the Defensive Composite Score) as part of the general process and cut out the additional steps at the end. Bottom line being some extra time this year to make future years cards faster to produce.
Bottom line is we should be releasing them this weekend as part of a July 4th broadcast event with some new initiatives that we think will be well received by the league as a whole. This event should take place Saturday afternoon or evening.

Cincinnati
Montreal
I think I have a lead on an owner for the Montreal team. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please point them our way.

Cards have been released! As in previous years, there is still some clean-up work to be done. AHL stats have not been added so some fortitude numbers may not be accurate. I believe Glenn mentioned that some contracts still needed to be tied to certain players. Glenn is hoping to have these loose ends tied up in the next few days so please be patient. If you have any general concerns or questions, post them up in the proper threads. Enjoy!

Though I dont think we've seen all the AHL level cards? |

I have found over many years of researching cards that low defensive ratings seem to be very common among NHL rookies

OK, it took me longer than anticipated but I have loaded all of the cards for the 23-24 season onto the site. I still have some supporting tables to promote from the staging environment (master table, prospect determination, etc) but that will have to wait until tomorrow now. I will be back at it tomorrow.
