24-25 Status Thread

Thanks Brian and Scotty-NY for their assistance in getting us over the finish line.

The primary issue was some 150 or so AHL players, including some that will be drafted that were no longer with the team, didn't make the original list of cards. Their cards are now added. It has taken me a while to untangle some assignments to previous contracts, prospect status etc so I have been focused on getting the draftable players table squared away. If you see a player that is on the list that you know has already been drafted, please post that in the 23-24 player cards thread.

I will have the draft testing open later today and would like everyone to make a test pick for their respective team (and or caretaker team if needed) as soon as possible.

I have added the goalies fort (thanks for the research Scotty-NY) and will be completing the trades from last business year that have been partially completed but had specific future considerations that needed to wait until last years games were completed before final portions of the trade could be fulfilled.

General trades for the upcoming season are not open yet however these will be opened by the start of the draft.

The home office, and therefore my primary development PC is undergoing some renovations so I am making due with a laptop right now.

I will run a query to show all unbid RFAs so GMs can decide to retain their rights or release them at which point they will be UFAs. This list will be posted here on the forum and with any luck, everyone will have decisions input in a timely manner to allow for the meat of FA (UFA) to start sometime next week.

24-25 GHL schedule has been populated on the GHL web site. This was on hold until the NHL schedule was released, which apparently was done over the past day or so on the source site we grab this info from. Suffolk raises their championship banner 10/3/2024 as they host Pittsburgh for the season opener

The minor league decision page is up and needs to be completed before UFA can start. It can be accessed via the UFA bid tab.

UFA 2024 Round 1 (8m minimum bid) is now open [note, teams caps are still showing their cut minor leaguers. This doesn't preclude us from starting and I will get these players sorted accordingly this weekend]

Contract Length page has been updated, you can get to that by clicking on the UFA tab on the website.

The temporary cap bump has also been removed so the top of the page should show you your actual cap space now

I'll admit, I haven't had a chance to really look at my contracts yet. Is there a deadline to have them done by? I know teams are itching to have the season start.

As posted on the owners forum and on the GTG Discord channel;

I have made some progress on getting the nightly NHL stats up and running again.

I have made some progress with non goalie NHL stats, these are current as of last night. I will work on the goalies next and then focus on getting these to kickoff and refresh each night. After that is working again, I will look at the previous nights only game stats

In regard to the goalies, if someone has been able to get the goalie stats (GAA, SvPct, etc) pulled up from the sportsforecaster page in the year to day stats section, please let me know what you plugged in to retrieve them

Eric has noted the same limitation in goalie YTD stats.
