The Blazers will be seeking 1 backup goalie, 2 defenseman, 1 good all-around forward, 2 3rd or 4th lines types that aren't complete scrubs this year.

Remember, if you are looking to clear salary on veterans that fill my needs, and they are a little overpriced salary wise, I might be willing to take one or two.
But: if the guy is more expensive than a UFA would be, why would I want to add a first-rounder for the privilege of signing your mistake?
