Yeah, so the kid is just full of all kinds of piss and vinegar after the whole thing about wanting a trade out of Hogtown....
-Forechecks like his next shift depends on it -Kills penalties -Scores every one of Toronto's last five goals
Not gonna lie, it hurts my heart to have moved QB55, but Robbo is playing like an 8-million dollar player thus far. Yeah, it's pre-season, but he's out against Kane, Caufield, Suzuki and the rest of the big guns with no Matthews, Nylander or Marner on his line. I think young 89 is looking like the real deal.
I can see him getting PP2 time with the way he's ripping it, and he looked real good on the PK using his stick to knock pucks out of the D zone and disrupt passing lanes. Whoever bid on his RFA rights, I think I owe you a thank you for allowing me to match a price 25% below his ask. He's a potential breakout player at a bargain and I'm excited to see what he does this year. OD

The talent is off the charts, my only concern with him is how much I've time he'll get when all the big guns are in the lineup, but if he keeps proving it out there, that might pick up...
However, I don't believe you'll get 25% on his contract when it's time to sign being he is coming off a bridge deal (maybe I'm mistaken on that, it's never read right in the rule book, but in the past, it's been 25% only for ELC's)

Bridged players will get 10% off for each term as their base contract. As Scotty correctly pointed out, 25% is only for ELC that are notr bridged.
