Can we stop the politics and get back to hockey. We all know Glenn is thick headed and when there is an idea that gets stuck in there it takes like 3 years to work itself out of it. And we're looking for another new owner... Washington, expansion franchise and recently fired by the commissioner, New Jersey...

LOL. No, Glenn agrees he is thick headed. Its the stubborn German in me. This is a good thing and should not be construed with being thick or slow witted. Glenn is also very bright. This combination allows Glenn the creativity to come up with fantastic ideas and the strong mindedness to keep these ideas rattling around inside his coconut. The 3 years that Scotty refers to is the time it takes the unenlightened to become enlightened in regards to the subject matter at hand.

For the same reason we use the cascading bidding. If we didn't use cascading bidding I could bit 1M on a very good player who no one else bid on in round 1 (Let's say like a Jaden Schwartz) and since no one else bid on him I get him for 1M. That doesn't make a lot of sense. That's why the bids cascade as they do. Now with the FP spending lets say everyone has Alzner pegged at a 7.4M dollar guy so they will wait to round 2 (6M round). Alzners owner bids 3M and 100FP to arrive at a bid if 3M/8M (with FP Insurance) in round 1. Since no one else bids (because they feel he should be a mid 7M guy and be bid on in the 6M+ round, the current owner grabs him for 3M? That wouldn't make a lot of sense. Did I read this wrong? Does this mean, the owner actually has to pay an 8 million dollar salary?

Nope if in that scenario I bid 8 on your guy then yea you'd have to pay 8 mil It's insurance you bid 6 but use FP to bump that up to 8 to gain the option to retain at the bid price if someone places a bid between 6-8

But, it says in print, "Since no one else bids (because they feel he should be a mid 7M guy and be bid on in the 6M+ round, the current owner grabs him for 3M?"
Does this mean, Alzner would be a 3 Mil salary?

That was explaining why we have cascade bidding so guys like Alzner don't go for 3M.

Why are we talking 48 hours for the $6M round? No bids round one, surprise, surprise...24 hour period, $6M round should end Sunday at 8pm.
