Scotty, is there not a middle ground that might work?

I see what you're saying Owen...but weekends are harder for me sometimes.
My issue is, I don't want to see an inferior team be able to "purchase" a win with an FP or two simply because the GM was able to sit in and the other GM was at work. What would this league be if Glenn and Philly Fair-ohs could mow thru Suffolk Stampede like Mad Cow Disease on a regular basis just because he purchased a bahzillion FP's? Not fun!

In game updates or modification should not be buy able. Like the idea of making the game more interesting but making it so one team has an advantage over another for having no life and being able to be on 24/7 or having 6 million FP because you saved them (or did not lose them) to use for an advantage is wrong. Card and luck is what matters.

Scotty, is there not a middle ground that might work? I don't know...I completely understand the desire of owners to change up their lines in game for an important draw or match up reasons or yank the goalie because he's a sieve, maybe pull him if you're down by a goal late (If that's even possible). Don't get me wrong on this, it probably favors me because I work day shift and am usually home around 3 everyday so I'd be available most evenings. However, if the other owner is not available or just isn't willing to control this aspect, I think that's an unfair advantage to the owner who is present to control in game aspects. Playing only certain games seems worse to me. So we'll change the outcome of only selected games? I do like the concept, even though I feel it is getting away from the simulation aspect and it's not a GM or owners role to affect in game changes. I'm just very leery of the advantage it gives. If a team wins an advantage by drafting or trading well, that's good ownership/management. That's building a strong product. I guess I'd have to see it in action but as it sounds, it seems to me as though it could tip the scales a little too much for one team or another depending on activity level or worse yet, ability to be present.

Again the head to head play is right now, a bridge too far. That being said, I would like to get there at some point.
Once we do get there perhaps something could be done to allow only the home team to be able to play the game against the computer if the other owner does not want to play.
Also as a reminder xbox like reflexes will have no bearing on game output for the head to head aspect. It will only allow an owner to micro manage a game to a much greater degree.
Case in point, if my team was filled with virtuous and talented Flyers and the other team was made up of the clutching and grabbing beer league New York Rangers, I would expect the Flyers to win most of these matchups even if the Glue shirts were player controlled and the Flyers were controlled by the computer.

I guess if the Flyers could make the playoffs, we might see if they could actually realize the false hopes of their fan base, however, I doubt even the best of Xbox reflexes would help. Wait, did I read that right? A bully fan complaining about a clutch and grab style of play? For shame, Bobby would be so disappointed.

If and when this happens, I feel as though it would only make sense to have the feature only be available when both owners sign in to the game. If one is not available to sign in then the computer plays computer as it is now.
I like the idea of a game of the week feature to get a taste for it. Or a specific day of the week slotted as the GHLDVR game day.
