It's been out for an hour and we haven't seen it in action. I think it should be a great enhancement, I love the realism as always, but can we get some time to see how it affects game play before we call it a Connor McDavid only to find out it's Nail Yakupov?

Lol. No worries boys. I think it will add some additional realism to the sim along with the goalie pulls and enhanced line changes.
I also stumbled across some both get implemented code that I wrote for the hate/angst. Once implemented it could take message board interactions into account as well. Which will be interesting, to say the least.

wow...such a non-response from the crowd for a commish favoured enhancement. Just because a new thing doesn’t get a ticker tape parade doesn’t mean it’s not well received.

Are we going to have a list of ref cards on the player cards page? I'd like to see how all of the refs stack up.

Perhaps in time I will integrate them into the website. For now, these are the ratings and number of game assignments for 17-18. I included the actual number of NHL games they reffed last year as well. name | NHLGames | Skill | Pen | Homer | GHLGames | Anderson, Reid | 1 | -2 | 2 | 2 | 0 | Brenk, Jake | 73 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 37 | Charron, Francis | 73 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 37 | Chmielewski, Tom | 73 | 0 | -2 | 0 | 37 | Dwyer, Gord | 73 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 37 | Furlatt, Eric | 74 | 2 | -3 | 1 | 37 | Hanson, Trevor | 73 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 37 | Hebert, Ghislain | 72 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 36 | Hebert, Jean | 73 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 37 | Jackson, Dave | 63 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 29 | Joannette, Marc | 72 | 3 | -1 | 1 | 37 | Kowal, Tom | 61 | 0 | -2 | 0 | 30 | Kozari, Steve | 74 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 37 | Lambert, Pierre | 25 | -1 | 0 | 1 | 19 | L'Ecuyer, Frederick | 72 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 36 | Lee, Chris | 71 | 0 | -1 | 1 | 35 | Luxmore, TJ | 73 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 36 | MacDougall, Peter | 8 | -2 | 1 | 0 | 5 | McCauley, Wes | 72 | 3 | -1 | 1 | 37 | Mclsaac, Jon | 73 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 36 | Meier, Brad | 72 | 2 | -1 | 2 | 37 | Morton, Dean | 77 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 36 | Nicholson, Kendrick | 71 | 0 | 3 | 0 | 30 | O'Halloran, Dan | 73 | 2 | -2 | 3 | 37 | O'Rourke, Dan | 73 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 37 | Peel, Tim | 72 | 1 | -1 | 0 | 37 | Pochmara, Brian | 73 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 37 | Pollock, Kevin | 72 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 37 | Rank, Garrett | 73 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 36 | Rehman, Kyle | 71 | 1 | 3 | 0 | 35 | Romasko, Evgeny | 11 | -1 | -2 | 1 | 7 | Rooney, Chris | 73 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 37 | Schlenker, Chris | 31 | -1 | 2 | 1 | 14 | Skilliter, Graham | 72 | 0 | -2 | 2 | 36 | South, Furman | 7 | -2 | 3 | 3 | 3 | St. Laurent, Francois | 73 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 37 | St. Pierre, Justin | 73 | 0 | -3 | 0 | 36 | Sutherland, Kelly | 71 | 3 | 0 | -1 | 30 | Syvret, Corey | 1 | -2 | -1 | 1 | 2 | Voss, Cameron | 2 | -2 | -1 | 1 | 4 | Walsh, Ian | 73 | 1 | -1 | 0 | 37 | Watson, Brad | 73 | 2 | -1 | 0 | 37 |

Is there already a home team advantage programmed in?
Will this affect home advantage even further?

Is there already a home team advantage programmed in? Will this affect home advantage even further? Yes and yes. I will run some queries today because when I checked last time, the current home ice advantage seems to be so minuscule as to be practically statistically irrelevant.

Yes, you have to be careful of "gilding the lily." But I have never noticed much of a home advantage.
We want Furman South for all home games.

So is the GHL games counter actually working or are half our games not being reffed?

We here in the GHL office are old school dinosaurs who liked the old 1 ref, 2 linesmen system. Since the NHL uses 2 refs per game they will have twice as many games reffed at 2 per.
We are saving the league all sorts of money by only having to pick up travel and per diem charges for 1 ref per game.
