^ silly EASY solve...Glenn, just code the computer selected lineup to be submitted and locked in and displayed, 2 hours before puck drop.

ok, I quoted Phil without a comment just so with the intended effect that the "^ silly" would be pointing at him as well as me. Lo and behold I end up on the new page and the effect is mostly lost.

I would hazard a guess and say we all are guilty of having an incomplete lineup completed by the sim due to injuries and the inability to check before game time. That being said, I have 2 thoughts. Perhaps in the off season we could consider adding a 2 minute bench minor to teams that don't have at least 75% of their lineup entered prior to game time. Also, again in the off season, we could add code that conducts an accounting of lineup decisions made by the sim and award franchise points based on the fewest number of lineup spots the sim had to determine. Any and all thoughts on the matter if you please. I would endorse any amendment that either reduces a team's overall rating score by a few points or conversely, raises a team's overall rating by the same for having a lineup card filed prior to puck drop. Instead of penalizing what may be an oversight, we would just be rewarding a small bonus for active participation game-to-game. My .02

^ silly EASY solve...Glenn, just code the computer selected lineup to be submitted and locked in and displayed, 2 hours before puck drop. Not silly at all, IMO. I just wouldnt make this model exclusive to having guys play together. Thats not the goal. The goal is to encourage active involvement. I agree FP wont be the tipping point, but a slight advantage in overall team rating per game (the little number in the top left on the lineup sheet) which is automatically applied to teams who submit a roster that is 80% intact and perhaps a slight bump if your submitted lineup is 100% filled out -- something along those lines might ensure that teams looking for the best game to game, head to head matchup might get everyone (me included) to be as engaged as Joe is. I used to go to great lengths to try and get the matchups I wanted line by line. I think Im gonna start to do that again.

This idea has merit but it would be a fairly big change to the code as I would need to: 1) break out the code to select/store/lock in line ups 2) run the broken out code below as a separate scheduled job (easy to do once the code is extracted/created) 3) change the web code to lock out any lineup changes between 5 and 7 on game nights.

Can you consider coding it to give a slight bump to overall roster efficacy for submitted lineups? please dont make it about FP. I dont think that carries enough weight in the minds of owners to be more active. Increased odds of winning would.

Boston and Alaska are the respective coaches/GM/selectors for the 2020 GHL All Star Game. As always, at least 1 player per team. Please send me a PM with the ID and name of 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies.
A sample format is below:
Pavelski 3405 Stamkos 6554
The ID can be determined by hovering your mouse over [PRO] clickable for the player on the team pages.
Once received, I will update the team lineups and you will be able to set your lines.
If we could have these done by Wednesday that would be great.
If you need assistance, a post on the forum here will likely lend you and aid required.
Thanks, Glenn

It looks like the NHL stat updater has been down for a few days. I will check this out when I get home from work.

I added a red cross icon on the team pages so people can more easily identify their, and other, injured players.

Tread deadline is Monday. Any and all trades need to be posted and agreed to prior to midnight on Monday 2/24. These trades must also be valid in respect to roster size/cap considerations. An invalid trade posted and accepted prior to 12:00 will not be honored by the league. Make sure you double check your figures boys.

Trade deadline is Monday, but all trades must be in prior to Tuesday at midnight, just so there is no confusion...or did I just create more confusion?

Not trying to be argumentative but your post says midnight on 2/24, which would actually mean that it would be prior to 11:59:59pm on Sunday 2/23 but hopefully everybody read it as what I posted

All,
It has been some crazy times out there the last few weeks. Hopefully we can find a tiny bit of solace with our playoffs starting next week.
Before we get there though, because of both teams wins last night, the Syracuse at Cornwall game is a winner take all for the 8th spot in the Campbell conference. That being the case, the game is going to be moved to Sunday as will be televised on Twitch. Matt from Syracuse actually floated the idea a few weeks back and thought it would be fun to do if the game meant something. It does.
I will also get the playoff prognostication brackets up early next week after everything has been nailed down.
I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and continue to stay healthy over the next few weeks.
Glenn
