Great last weekend of action boys. The Syracuse Cornwall tilt did not disappoint as the last game of the season.
Playoffs will start in 4 days and the schedules have been created.
Fantastic regular season by Alaska in general and Pavelski specifically. One for the recordbooks for sure.
Good luck to all of this years playoff teams. And good luck to those non-playoff teams who are starting their preparation for the draft and restocking the cubbard.
I will get the prognostication thread out there by tomorrow at the latest. Got to be a lot of folks jumping on the Polar Bear band wagon!

Thanks Glenn. Just hoping we don't catch whatever Tampa Bay caught before playoffs last year!

Out of curiosity I reviewed the code to try to determine why offense seemed to be much higher this year that in previous years. I mean Pavelski with 90+ goals? That's Great One territory. After doing some digging I found that there was a bug that artificially inflated all skaters scores for Net Pres, Strength, Quickness, and Hockey IQ when they were being loaded in for a game. This bug impacted every player great and small so it was uniform across the board for all teams. This bug has been fixed and the players actual ratings are the ones being used. I also verified that the 20% OOP penalty was still in use. No other changes or adjustments were made. I just wanted everyone to me made aware that we might see some slightly reduced offensive numbers in the playoffs and by extension, into next year.
Secondly, last night those who joined us on twitch watched 2 games back to back. I think I will do the same tonight as I know Brian had asked for the Cleveland game on Sunday to be broadcast. Tonight, I will start with the Philly/Hershey game at 7:05 and follow up immediately after with Hamilton versus Cleveland on a slight tape delay. I ask those that join do not provide any spoilers for the 2nd game as the results will be displayed as normal on the Game Central page.

So the puck was juiced? That explains how Lukas Radil managed 37 goals for me this year.

Brian regarding having what I thought you said was your 4th line on the ice, it looks like you 3rd line hit the ice with 1:30 left and then when you took the penalty your penalty killers took the ice.
The sim is currently not setup to throw 1st line out during penalty kill. Perhaps that can be worked in during the off season.
portion of debug text below:

OK, in retrospect that makes sense from the debug results because it is showing d line 0 on the ice. When these are stored in arrays the 1st spot is position zero so 3 would equate to the 4th line.
I did a quick check to make sure the interface where line times are selected and the back end tables are in sync and they are. I am operating on the assumption that you made no modifications to these since game time as they are not stored transactionally.
Overall line health is reviewed on occasion if there are fatigued players on the line that is supposed to go out. A valuation is made where the fatigue factor, lets say 60% after coming off the ice is multiplied by the skill of the player for each player on a line to determine a line efficiency and these can override some general coaching guidelines.
The short of it is I will see if there is anything else in the debug that might have explained it but I will probably need to add some more debug output to the line selection portion of code to get an idea if this was a bug or the code functioning as designed as per my paragraph above.
I will also look to have the offensive guys used late in the game if on the PK instead of the standard PK unit.

I'm assuming we are still having awards voting (as well as the tabulating of FPs from last year following the awarding of said awards)?

Never got around to them. I have the excel sheet with last years stats if anyone wants to do it this year.
