Out of curiosity... were the Cap Calculations done correctly....in relation to the teams that did NOT make the playoffs, has there Cap usage been lessened by 75%?
Stipulation: Playoff Teams get to use 50% of available Cap, Non-Playoff Teams 25%.
For ex: you are showing Pittsburgh at 20 Million, but is this after the 75% "Cap Usage Penalty" for not making the playoffs...or is it Pre-Penalty?

Note, These numbers do not reflect the true cap increase (once the NHL announces theirs we will adopt) or the additional monies that will be made available to offset this years draft (1 time infusion) of around 4M and after the 500k round of free agency another 1.5M or so to flesh out the rosters.

NHL has announced the cap already, I believe it was 64.3m but don't quote me Correct... From Wiki.... Salary cap On June 23, 2011, the NHL announced that the salary cap would be increased by $4.9 million. As a result, the new salary cap ceiling is set at $64.3 million while the salary cap floor is $48.3 million.

I think I had set it up to increase by 3.5M so I will add the 1.4M difference as well as the dough to sign the draft guys.

Gotcha....sorry Who else am I missing ? Me, but its easy to lose track of that team out west...I'm practically in a different country! As of 12:38 am MST the website says I have 21,283,125 mil...obviously prior to the 25% for non playoff teams.

That percentage was applied to your franchises unspent cap from last year and added on to this years cap. The monies you see, aside from 1.6M or so for your 4th and 5th round picks is what you have available to spend. So your are going to have about 20M to do some shopping.
