I am confused rule-wise on Ponikarovsky. He played in KHL last year--did I have to use up my one waiver on him to celar his salary?

I am confused rule-wise on Ponikarovsky. He played in KHL last year--did I have to use up my one waiver on him to celar his salary? I will need to research. Your post said to waive him (as opposed to drop him) but I dont remember seeing anything that would stop me from waiving him with the cap hit. If he truly could have been waived I will undo the cap hit and waive conner for you.

Yes, I used a loaded term but I meant "waive" in the sense of not retaining him. My bad.

Just a note boys that you no longer need to detail the waiver fee as the system calculates it in the background. On that note, I have been impressed by the fact that everyone has been correct.

Therefore, given the Ponikarovsky ruling, I should be able to waive Connor. Is that correct?
