From what I've seen, the NHL hasn't made an official announcement yet and we didn't use the NHL cap last year but I think it's a good idea to raise our cap in accordance.

I forget, how does GHL cap fit in comparison to the NHL? Was it exactly the same?

We generally have an extra 3M or so to offset the costs of keeping the minor league team stocked as well as helping to offset the costs of paying for draft picks.

LOL. I don't believe so. We do inflate this during the off season to allow teams to go above the cap and then reduce their cap hit by signing guys to longer term deals.

Cap Carryover Figures Calculated. These numbers are arrived at by taking 74M (Last Years cap) and subtracting the player cards under contract on 6/1/016 (not now after all sorts of trades have been made) and the subtracting the cap carryover from last year and then subtracting the waiver wire transactions from last year. This number is then multiplied by .33 (33%) to arrive at carryover. Teams with zero balances had negative carryover values and thus were set to zero. The numbers below will be added to their respective teams. If you see anything funky, let me know. Team | Carry | Adirondack | 0 | Baltimore | 0 | Boston | 0 | Chicago | 543,506 | Cincinnati | 0 | Cleveland | 0 | Colorado | 0 | Cornwall | 0 | Detroit | 49,208 | Edmonton | 0 | Halifax | 0 | Hamilton | 1,588,306 | Hartford | 0 | Hershey | 1,232,420 | Johnstown | 0 | Milwaukee | 1,276,021 | Moncton | 0 | Montreal | 0 | New Jersey | 534,017 | New York | 0 | Ottawa | 485,734 | Philadelphia | 0 | Pittsburgh | 604,435 | Quebec | 218,371 | Rochester | 1,478,916 | St Paul | 692,508 | Suffolk | 0 | Syracuse | 58,329 | Toronto | 183,455 | Washington | 138,915 |

What was the CAP in the NHL last year? If we move we move the same amount that the league does.

What was the CAP in the NHL last year? If we move we move the same amount that the league does. $71.4M in 15-16. So they went up $1.6M, however, we discussed raising the asking prices to be a little more realistic with NHL prices and I still don't see how we can do that if we're actually so far behind the NHL in terms of spending on pro rosters...
