The NHL has released the following schedule for expansion...
July 17th - protected lists submitted
July 18th - Seattle UFA negotiating window opens
July 21st - expansion draft
July 23rd & 24th - draft
July 28th - free agency

As Vegas is exempt from the expansion draft I'm assuming for our purposes Calgary should be as well, correct?

The way I look at it, that would seem to follow.
I did see that the draft lottery is early June. I think the 2nd. I will need to get all of the GHL teams (and their respective NHL teams identified as well). I did note that Arizona has had their 1st round pick forfeited but that shouldn't impact us, or the lottery. I hope. If it does, then we will need to do our own lottery like we did last year.

So I guess it makes the most sense to move Washington back to the Eastern Conference. We could then slide Detroit to the Adams and Oregon into the Patrick.
While were at it, does it also make sense to flip Milwaukee or Chicago with Alaska?
What are the groups thoughts?

I am all for keeping the conferences/divisions as stable as possible as well. I think the reason I chose Detroit was that it was the farthest East of itself, Milwaukee and Chicago. 1. Is there a date for the protected players lists to be in?
2. I saw last time it was done via a podcast. Is that the plan for this expansion draft as well?

I think a podcast or a twitch session would be ideal. Brian was kind enough to coordinate the podcast last time but I am not sure he has the time to do so now. If not, I will look to do via twitch and some meeting software perhaps zoom.
Given everything we will have on our plates this offseason I would like to get this done by the end of the month. Some guys seem to do a hard shutdown once summer begins and rousing them from their hibernation can be a difficult task.

We’re in the middle of trying to move from Ewing, NJ to Southampton, PA and have a bunch of hurdles to jump through to make that happen.
