Just like that Darling becomes top UFA Goalie, Maybe Miller with his 5 fort up there too. With new retain rules I think the days of grabbing a starter in UFA might be over. Throw money at the best players possible. I'll never pull another 8M Hutton disaster. I'll drive a sherman armoured vehicle instead of that. forget about lack of UFA Goalies...look at ALL the forward and defense talent to be bought!!!!!! Deep pocket teams are in luck this year - can grab franchise skaters! |

Every team has the option of retaining and extending one of their expiring 2019 UFAs. The player had to be with your team the entirety of last year to do so. The cost will be 65 FPs this year (cost going up to 75FPs next year). The base contract price will be 110% of their asking price. So if a player was asking 10.0M his base signing (prior to discounts for years signed) would be 11.0M Players have to be identified and noted on this thread by Monday 9/2 at 8:00 PM EST as UFA will start immediately after.
