Every team has the option of retaining and extending one of their expiring 2019 UFAs. The player had to be with your team the entirety of last year to do so.
The cost will be 65 FPs this year (cost going up to 75FPs next year).
The base contract price will be 110% of their asking price. So if a player was asking 10.0M his base signing (prior to discounts for years signed) would be 11.0M
Players have to be identified and noted on this thread by Monday 9/2 at 8:00 PM EST as UFA will start immediately after.

I assume we will also have to have any cuts/buyouts in by 9/2 as well? We also need to determine which RFAs will not be tendered a contract and released into UFA.

I presume this is a one-year re-signing?

I don't think so. I believe there is going to be term limit (even though I don't think there should be) but it hasn't been set yet. If we are going to set contact term limits, it should be on the open market, not the guys we already own in following the NHL mold.

Therefore, I would tentatively expect to spend 65 to re-sign Nazeem Kadri.
Do you think it should cost more FP to sign a more expensive player?
